I have worked at museums, and children related jobs. During my free-time, I do freelance design. I enjoy working with children because I love to enrich children’s learning through art & play. When I am at Green kids, I try to create a fun environment. I love hearing children's funny thoughts, and seeing their smiles.
Hey guys! My name is Kristen. I'm 22 and have one semester left before I obtain my degree in Education from NC State. I'm originally from Wilson, NC, but I'm happy to call Raleigh home now. I've enjoyed working with kids ever since I started babysitting as a teenager. I've worked with a variety of children, from being a camp counselor for special needs preschoolers to working in a high school ESL class. I believe every child is unique and has something special to offer. Playing with the kids is the highlight of my day. Most days you can find me playing hide and seek with them, or in the middle of a game of Simon Says. I look forward to seeing all your little ones (and big kids) at Green Kids!
Hi my name is Susanna, I'm from Knightdale, NC. I was born at home along with my 9 siblings. I grew up with our family having all kinds of farm animals. Now that I am at Green Kids I absolutely love it and all the kiddos!

Parents sometimes need time to themselves...
As the owners of the Durham Melting Pot Restaurant and the parents of nine year old twins, my husband and I sometimes find it difficult to complete daily tasks and plan time to be alone as a couple. Parents dining at the Melting Pot regularly share the same concerns. In fact, lack of convenient and reliable child care is the reason most couples cite for not dining out more often.
Parents want a safe, healthy and educational place for their kids...
In response to this feedback as well as our personal experiences, we are proud to bring you Green Kids Drop-In Centers. Now with two convenient locations, in Durham located in the same building as the Melting Pot, and Morrisville at the corner of Davis Drive and Morrisville Carpenter (next to Salsa Fresh). Green Kids is designed to fill the gap in traditional childcare programs. Green Kids offers child care seven days per week including extended evening hours and best of all no appointment or reservation is needed. Experience the freedom of being able to go out to dinner or catch a movie on a moments notice. Even better, imagine dining at the Melting Pot and having your children next door to you.
