As the owners of the Durham Melting Pot Restaurant and the parents of two year old twins, my husband and I sometimes find it difficult to complete daily tasks  and plan time to be alone as a couple. Parents dining at the Melting Pot regularly share the same concerns. In fact, lack of convenient and reliable child care is the reason most couples cite for not dining out more often.

In response to this feedback as well as our personal experiences, we are proud to bring you Green Kids Drop-In Centers. Located in the same building as the Melting Pot, Green Kids is designed to fill the gap in traditional childcare programs. Green Kids offers child care for up to four hours, is open seven days per week, has extended evening hours and best of all no appointment or reservation is needed.
